Ash Kuchel is Head of Marketing for Viatris Australia, with responsibility for developing the marketing of key Viatris brands through insight-based strategy, ensuring the positioning and messaging resonates with key stakeholders to drive the quality use of medicine and deliver better health outcomes.
Prior to joining Viatris, Ash was Marketing Manager at Mylan, where he was responsible for raising the profile and developing the expertise of the marketing team, and he has a proven track record of driving a culture of engagement and performance.
Ash brings over 35 years’ experience in healthcare and communications, having worked for several multi-national pharmaceutical companies in marketing, sales and sales management. He has held senior executive leadership roles across major global markets including North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
He has also held a number of senior management roles at healthcare communication agencies, including McCann Healthcare, Leo Burnett Life Brands, CWFS, and Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare.
Before joining Mylan, Ash was Managing Director at McCann Health. Prior to this, Ash spent over 11 years at Publicis Health, most recently as Global Group President, where he was responsible for building, structuring, and refining the Publicis Health global footprint, cementing its status as the leading healthcare communications network worldwide.
Ash is a graduate of Western Sydney University, with a degree in Management, and alongside his role at Viatris, he also works with the neurodivergent communities to raise the profile of autism and ADHD in schools and workplaces.
