We are committed to responsible and sustainable operations, recognising that our actions affect our stakeholders and the communities we serve. This spans across patient health, employee health, community health, environmental health and global public health.

We have a range of employee health programs covering both physical and mental health, the latter taking a special focus since the onset of the pandemic. Viatris recognises the importance of allowing a flexible environment for our office employees in maintaining a diverse and adaptable workforce.

Viatris offers additional paid parental leave for the primary care giver, with an additional four weeks’ pay on top of the 18 weeks from the government. Each year Viatris employees receive an incentive to be spent on supporting their health and wellbeing.

We pride ourselves in being always ready and responsive to serve our communities in times of need. Our employees can access up to two days per annum to volunteer at one of our four yearly chosen charities or a charity that has special meaning for them.

In 2022, Viatris Australia made 208 blood and plasma donations equating to approximately 624 lives saved. We were also recognised as a top-ranked healthcare company in GoodCompany's top 40 best workplaces to give back in 2022.

We are committed to further advancing environmentally sustainable practices and minimising our environmental footprint by managing our impact on climate change, energy use, water management and air emissions. The Carole Park manufacturing facility in Queensland is designed with the latest technology with a specific focus on sustainability, from recyclables to biodegradables. Through our water conservation program, we successfully recycle and reused 5,389 KL of water in 2023, which is 15% of the total water consumed onsite. In 2023, we achieved a 10% increase in our recycling rate compared to 2022, recycling and repurposing a total of 425 tonnes of waste.
