Monica Passfield is the Human Relations Manager for Viatris ANZ, focussing on creating the optimal employee experience for people working within the business across Australia and New Zealand.
Since joining Viatris, Passfield has overseen the integration of a new, diverse leadership team that is focused on organisational growth and development and is working towards transforming the organisation to becoming the healthcare employer of choice. During her tenure, Viatris ANZ has launched leading HR policies, including eligibility for 22 weeks of paid family leave for primary carers, an annual wellness allowance, financial recognition of tenure, as well as a progressive flexible working philosophy.
Before joining Viatris, Passfield was Human Relations Manager at Mylan, where she was responsible for the design and implementation of their orientation program, their return to work and flexibility practice, as well as preparations for the UpJohn merger, and she also served as a member of the business’s COVID-19 response team.
Prior to this, Passfield held several human resource positions within global organisations, including Abbott and Adecco, and has over 10 years’ experience across, pharmaceutical, medical devices, and general healthcare.
Passfield earned a Bachelor of Business, HR Management & Personnel Administration from the University of New England (AU).
