Ludovic Laporte is Head of Finance for Viatris ANZ, overseeing controlling, financial planning & analysis, commercial operations, and strategic analysis of the ANZ division as it pursues its mission to increase access to affordable, high-quality medicines.
Before joining Viatris, Laporte was Regional Head of Finance of Mylan’s Japan, Australia, and New Zealand businesses, contributing to the company’s growth and sustainability in highly competitive markets. He has extensive financial leadership experience after 20 years in the healthcare sector, holding senior positions at Fournier Pharma, Solvay, and Abbott EPD and Mylan. These roles have provided Laporte with an extensive knowledge of the branded and generic pharmaceutical markets.
Prior to working in the pharmaceutical industry, Laporte held financial and operational leadership roles in the food and beverage industry. His career path has provided diversified experiences in controllership, financial planning and analysis, business development and other operational functions.
Laporte’s career began in Germany, and he has also held roles in France and China, before moving to Australia in 2006. He specialises in business partnering in multicultural environments, in both developed and emerging markets.
A native of France, Laporte holds a Diploma in International Business from Goethe University in Germany after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in finance and international management from the University of Reims in France.
